Movie Kum

Oh! the bliss of being able to go for movies without worrying about anything in the world... hmmm... tell me about it!

This is a luxury (Going for movies) which you will realise after starting a family. It had been a long time since we had gone for a movie after we had our first baby. Long time (read - more then two years)

So when the time was right we decided to go for a movie at a nearby mall. We were quite brave since we had already tried this once and failed miserably. My husband ended up taking care of the baby outside the hall and i watched the movie all alone. This time we devised a foolproof plan.

Talk about preparing ahead. We ensured our child was awake throughout the day..in order for him to sleep through the movie..packed all the food possible to woo him to sit quietly throughout the movie..sigh.. prepared our dinner well in advance.. and were all geared.. booked the gold class tickets..sigh ..in advance..

Now for the highlight of my story .. reached the theater on time and got our seats.. pop corn and everything.. the commercials started.. the hall was dark.. my son was looking at the "big tv" and was enjoying .. 2 minutes passed in bliss..

The movie started.. the male protagonist was a chef and all the scenes were to do with kitchen and cooking.. i was thanking my stars since my son loves all things about the kitchen :) was i happy..

Then it happened!! "Mom I wanna go home" he said in a very low voice..
At first I tried to cox him by showing him all the woks, pans, biryanis and cakes that were a integral part of the movie.. he seemed to be quite satisfied...

5 more minutes of bliss.. then it happened.. he started the same mantra first in a low voice.. and then it went on to become a high pitched demand... the family sitting next to gave us the "Why don't you agree to his demand and end this ordeal lady!" "Let us watch the movie in peace" look.

I looked at my husband who gave me the "I told you this would happen" look.

After all these looks I knew i had no chance of sitting through. We packed all our bags and headed down the aisle..... My son was the happiest...
