B'day & Girlfriends
It was my Birthday and I was feeling miserable that hubby dearest didn’t wish me since morning. They are all like that. They tend to forget important dates. And once they remember it is no different. They just go about their day after wishing you as though it is any other day. Hmm.. talk about getting excited about Birthday…
After tying the knot I realized it is so important to have “GIRL” friends in your life. If you have noticed as you age and go past your life you do not realize that with the changing age you also come across various types of friends who help you get along difficult situation. But it is a different story after marriage altogether. You need to juggle between jobs, children, hubby, house etc. That is when you actually need good "Girl" friends!
Talking about Girl freinds there are those who call you on your birthday without fail no matter where on earth they are and wish you making you feel special.
There are those who never call you on Bdays or any occasions, though they stay in the same town. But whenever you meet them it’s as if you have met them yesterday. Like nothing happened. No questions asked as to why you didn’t call or why she didn’t call.
There are those “friends” who are not actually friends but since your hubbies happen to be the “bestest” of friends you too inevitably have to be (have like) friends with them. There are a few who are exceptions to this theory though. A deadly combination. Husbands being good freinds. You getting along well with thier spouses. Wow!! Nothing better then this combo. Helps you in breezing past those boring Sunday afternoons.
Then are a very few, mind you when I tell very few who call you everyday, try meeting everyday, you never think twice before asking a favor, are so comfortable to get along with that you feel you have known them throughout.. They make an honest attempt to keep the relationship going even though you are so busy with your own (selfish) life. Don’t complain “You never call”, “Hamesha busy rehti ho” tauntingly. If you have any from this category I could say that you are the luckiest of the lot and you can get out of any type of blues…
Just the two of you, some chai and snacks and all the trouble in the world seem to vanish.
They say “Behind every successful man there is a woman” …
Taking a cue from there I would like to say that “Behind every successful marriage there is a strong GIRLFRIEND” :)
