Confessions of a non-blogoholic

I must say that I started my blog with great enthusiasm and thought that I will religiously blog at least once a month if not more often.

But sadly my work has taken the front seat and the luxury of blogging seems so far away. The other day I saw an interesting logo in some website saying that "I stand for cruelty against blogs"..some others that said "feed your blog else it will die".

My conscious told me that I was doing something very wrong here. Not blogging at all. This article is a living proof that I love my blog very much and will definitely will feed it more often.
I will write more often ... i do have somethings lined up..hopefully..will publish it soon..

Till then ..I am doing good by feeding my blog :) with this article. Am I not!!

I couldn't post a comment on your blog about the Daring Baker's challenge. So I thought I would post it here so you read it.

One of member ask “What parameter do we measure daringness?” I answered thus:-

This is wonderful question - what parameters do we use to measure daringness? My first thought was what is daring for one is timidity of another. I always remember my neighbour doing eggs on toast for the first time in his life (his wife had passed away) he was totally in fear over it and even with my gentle instructions and my most caring manner he was in a cold sweat but finally after burnt toast, burnt eggs and even (if it's possible) burnt water he triumphed and he was pretty happy, you see for him he had challenged his comfort zone a lot. I think he was so happy because he wasn't going to starve and needed some pride in doing his own food. His skills now after a few years are still at the 'steak and three veges' and 'baked beans on toast with an egg' stage but he always comments on that shared experience.

Yes your totally right there is always more to learn and more to experiment with.... BUT to their (the DBer's) comfort zone boundaries. So for me I always push as hard as I can since this is a challenge BUT I'm sure most push just as hard as I do but they are starting at a different skill set. I admire anybody starting and finishing (for them) a challenging recipe because it is so easy to just say "Darn, I stuffed it, I wasted food, I failed and I won't continue" but so many blogs I have visited still complete it even after multiple tries. Very inspirational to me this is one of the major reasons I love and joined the Daring Kitchen.
The parameters I use to measure daringness in others is
1.their results to their skill levels and
2.the attribute I call 'grace under fire' that is how they handled mishaps and
3.the determination to finish the challenge, and
4.the honesty of their comments for example are they daing enough to say they didn't like the recipe even if it was well made (you can't like everything), that they took shortcuts (for them) in the recipes (options don't count in this point), that it was a total disaster or a success etc....
and by these parameters nearly all DBers are truly daring.

You meet all the parameters to be called a true Daring Baker!
